Tales of Blades and Heroes

Another weekend passed and we continued our adventure.

we have passed the fort and had reached the tomb o a great Dwarf warrior that have been killed by one of his friend because of a woman (who said that RPG adventures dont come from true life)

Our heroes finally got in the tomb and found the ghost of the warrior.
He told them his story and asked them to help him rest. Our heroes opted to help him.
And finally succeed.
Before the ghost left he gave them instruction to the Tomb of one of his companions where great treasure was hidden.

The group found the Tomb and entered only to find it guarded by some Skeletons.
A great battle started

Even though it seemed that our Heroes would be killed.

They finally prevailed.
The treasure was truly great (over 6000 coins and some magical teams)

All the PC enjoyed the game.
And after having played quit a few games now we have started to see many more options the PC could get.

Till next time

Starmada Fleet ops

Starmada Fleet Ops

During the past month we had a couple of games of Starmada Fleet ops and Starmada Admiralty.

As usual we used the hex grid for all the games.

The miniatures we used are soft plastic from US toys (75 ship in the bag).

All the games we played run smoothly and non took over 2 1/2 hrs.
Our youngest player was 11 years old and he actually beat me in his first game.

The game mechanism is very easy to get and all of us had no problems.
The small amount of record keeping in fleet ops was a point all player made and made the game more enjoyable.
The order system was another point all players liked and found it give a good feel to the game.

I have now finished 4 fleets of about 18-19 ships each (Black, Silver, White, Red as their colors)
Hope soon to be able to post more AARs with miniatures

Tales of Blades and Heroes

Hi All

A few weeks now we have started a RPG quest using Tales of Blades and Heroes

Our heroes are in search o the resting place of a great Astrologist and have stumbled across a small outpost

The Fort with our Heroes inside

The Heroes lineup

The Barbarian fighting two Ork axemen on the ramparts

The Heroes enter the chamber of the Ork Boss, who is protected by 4 Ork spearmen

The Heroes inside on of the houses in hand to hand combat vs some Orks

The wizard and the Elf find a hidden stairway in one of the rooms leading to the dungeons

Dwarf vs Ogre (hahahaha who will win)

We love the rules.
They give a good feeling and are not overly complex.
The combat is not slow and the skills and attributes are very well balanced

FFT 3

FFT 3

Hi all and a happy new year

It has been a very fruitful month for us with lots of games.
My first report for the year.

We had a FFT 3 game 1985 USSR vs West Germany at 3000pts

the battlefield

I opted for a Marine regiment with 3 BTR battalions and a Tank battalion with T-55 (with missiles) I did not take any artillery only 3 planes.
My valiant opponent NICK took 2 battalions in APCs and a battalion of Leopards. He also took 3 planes and 2-3 helicopters with missiles.

I opted to attack the town to my left where my opponent had 1 battalion of infantry. I charged in with 3 battalions of BTR marines and attached tanks.

On my far right NICK made an advance with his other infantry battalion but infantry unsupported was not a much of an advance

Both of our air forces started entering the table taking shots at the others tanks and APCs
I had all my planes armed with rockets while NICK had GP bombs

NICKs choppers took out a few of my vehicles but it was not enough to do much.

when I finally got to the town I charged in and after a firefight I took it

 We both enjoyed the game
Nick was not very happy with his choppers but he had only opted to give each one only one missile pod which gave him 2 shots each (if I remember correctly)
His Good moral gave him a advantage over my fair troops but the numbers gave me victory in the end
